Since the baking soda is alkaline and the vinegar is a mild acid a fizzing reaction will occur and it is therefore important that you add the baking soda slowly.

Some of the inlet holes are small so you will need something the can get inside them and break up the sediment. I can get the bowl and the outside clean but i just couldn t seem to scrub away all the hard water build up around the holes in the rim where the water comes out.
